I tried everywhere – even the front under/leading edge of the rear seats – it’s just not the same color. I think the sad truth is that there isn’t any more of this (exact) fabric commercially available.

I’ve owned and restored 40+ 5.0 foxes so I can feel your pain on this. You might try comparing the samples to the fabric on the front underside of your passenger seat. This area is upholstered but not exposed to much direct or incident UV and probably looks a bit different than the fabric on the seating surface. You’d of course have to pull the bolts to get a good view but you might find that the samples are better match to that virgin 93 fabric.
